About Me

Hi, I’m Andy a music photographer who loves capturing the energy and excitement of live gigs.

So, why gig photography? Well, it all boils down to my deep-rooted love for live music. There’s something about being in the midst of the action, feeling the pulse of the crowd, and witnessing amazing performances onstage that truly captivates me. It’s an adrenaline rush like no other, and I’ve always yearned to be right in the thick of it.

Now, when it comes to my favourite bands, Biffy Clyro, Bloc Party, and Ash hold a special place in my heart. I’ve had the incredible opportunity to see them perform live numerous times (I’ve lost count of how many Ash gigs I’ve been to—20? 30?). I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph each of these bands in action, capturing unforgettable moments that I’ll cherish forever.

I’ve also had the privilege of photographing festivals, where the atmosphere is nothing short of electrifying. There’s something truly magical about being fully immersed in the festival experience, surrounded by music lovers from all walks of life.

As for my bucket list of bands to shoot, it’s ever-evolving. Right at the top are The Foo Fighters and The Darkness – two legendary acts that I would love to capture.
